Let me first start out by saying I love my husband. He's rather adventureous and likes to find things to do in a place where thats hard to do. So, I'm glad we both like to branch out a bit out of our comfort zone and enjoy others 'cultures' I guess. We are very thankful that our friends Ranae and Eric were with us to enjoy to event.
Secondly, words cannot describe the Rattlesnake Round Up! To summarize, the small city of Sweetwater has an annual event each year to gather up as many Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes as they possibly can. You cannot even enter the contest unless your bucket has 100lbs of snakes. Then, they bring the snakes to a pit, to size them. Then, they are milked for the venom at another pit. Then, sadly, they are beheaded and graphically skinned apart (see the facebook pics). After that, the meat is fried up for all to enjoy. Yes, we tried it, it tastes like a chewy chicken with a ton of tiny little bones.
