This is smoke, not clouds. 
The fire is 20 miles away.
You hear about California wildfires all the time. Well, I've lost count of how many we have had here. The first time I saw one I went into a slight panic mode thinking it was a plane crash. Now, I'm just immuned to the fact that its just another wildfire.
Lately, there has been about 1-3 fires each week.

It's 9:30pm and the fire is still not contained.

Yucko! That doesn't seem to make for safe air to breath. I would've freaked out too thinking it was a plane crash. Who knew Abilene had wild fires?!
